Man of the Flesh (El Burlador de Sevilla) by Octavio Solis (based on the Zorilla y Moral version of Don Juan Tenorio)
As for Life is a Dream adaptations, Solis wrote Dreamlandia, and José Rivera wrote Sueño.

To be clearer, I am building the syllabus around the INFLUENCE of Early Modern Spanish plays on theatre culture in the rest of Europe and the Western Hemisphere. The course itself will be offered in English but at present I am interested in Spanish-language of course, as well as plays in other languages, and also English-language plays. Thank you.

Dear Comediantes --
For a syllabus I am working on, could any of you suggest plays of the past 50 to 100 years based on classics of the Early Modern period? There are myriad adaptations of Life Is a Dream, of course, most of them referring to that play in their title. But are any of you aware of others? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you.
