Dear AHCT Symposium Participants,

We are looking forward to seeing you in El Paso later this month, and are
busily planning for what we hope will be an exciting 30th Anniversary
Celebration for AHCT! I am writing with some important information about
lodging, and the tentative “Schedule-At-A-Glance.”

Hotel: If you’ve already reserved your room at the Hilton Garden Inn,
congratulations! Unfortunately, the AHCT block of rooms reserved for our
group has sold out. However, two nearby overflow hotels are available to
you, at special symposium rates. Both hotels have agreed to provide
complimentary shuttle service to/from the Hilton, for your convenience.
Please click on the websites below for additional information about specific
hotel amenities.

1) Camino Real Hotel (http://www.caminorealelpaso.com/). Rates are the
same as the Hilton ($85 + tax for rooms without breakfast, $95 + tax for
rooms including breakfast). Block of 40 rooms held for AHCT symposium
participants, but must be reserved by Feb. 11. To receive the group rate,
please reserve by calling 915-534-3000 and mentioning you are with the
Association for Hispanic Classical Theatre. (Gladys Gonzalez, Sales
Manager, can help trouble-shoot if there are any problems making
reservations). This hotel is approximately 3 miles from the Hilton. We
have also learned that the Chamizal is housing the actors at this hotel this
year.

2) Holiday Inn Express (hiexpress.com/elpasocentral). Rates are $89 + tax.
This rate includes Deluxe Hot Breakfast Buffet, Wifi, and a Manager's
Reception 5:30pm-7pm. Block of 25 rooms held for AHCT symposium
participants, but must be reserved by Feb. 11. To receive the group rate,
please reserve by calling 915-544-3333 end_of_the_skype_highlightingand
mentioning you are with the Association for Hispanic Classical Theatre.
(Valerie Garcia, Director of Sales & Marketing, can help trouble-shoot if
there are any problems making reservations). This hotel is approximately
1.5 miles from the Hilton.

Below you will find the “Schedule-At-A-Glance,” for the symposium sessions.
We are working on putting the finishing touches on the program, and hope to
have that available for you soon. In the meantime, we know many of you will
appreciate knowing the day/time of your session, as well as the names of the
other presenters in your session.

Please make sure to indicate which Chamizal performances you’ll need tickets
for, by answering the following survey:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CKHF5VR In addition, please stay tuned for
an important volunteer sign-up opportunity. As in the past, we’re looking
for volunteers to do things such as staff the registration table during
various shifts, drive vans to/from the Chamizal, introduce plays, moderate
round table discussions, film the plays, etc., etc. An electronic volunteer
sign-up request will be sent to you shortly, and your willingness to help
will be greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Darci Strother
