[Comedias] GEMELA Prize

Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to let you know that this morning I was informed that my
book *Women
Religious and Epistolary Writing in the Carmelite Reform *has won the
GEMELA prize for best scholarly book of 2021. GEMELA is the foremost
organization devoted to the study of early modern women in the Spanish- and
Portuguese-speaking worlds. The awards ceremony,  which I will attend via
Zoom, will be held in Valencia, Spain in October.

I wanted you to be the first to know.
