ASTR 2018 Call for Proposals Now Open

The sun will be shining, the beaches will beckon, and we’ll all be aroused
to think, talk, and act. Please consider submitting a plenary or working
session for *ASTR 2018 – Arousal: Theatre, Performance, Embodiment*. We
especially invite working sessions or other collaborative working formats
that include off-site components, allowing San Diego to arouse new
connections between ideas and between scholars in real time and space. The
conference committee has set aside some funds to support off-site working
groups; please use the special working session form to tell us your plans
and set a budget for how you will move out of the hotel and into this
border city.

*The deadline for proposals is February 1, 2018.*

Arousal is a crucial element of what performance does and how performance
means. Whether we are painfully or pleasantly aroused, performance moves
and changes us. Join us in San Diego in November to be moved and changed!
