[Comedias] Dramaturg for Staged Reading, Los empenos de una casa

New Perspectives Theatre <http://www.newperspectivestheatre.org/index.html>
and On Her Shoulders <http://onhershoulders.weebly.com/> is looking for an
SGA specialist to work with a director on a staged reading of *Los empeños
de una casa* on December 4th in New York. The dramaturg will consult with
the director on translation choice and provide her and the cast with
background information on Sor Juana, Spanish classical theatre genres
relevant to the play, and other items of interest to the director. In
addition, the dramaturg will write an 850-1000 word introduction to the
play for the program’s “*The Play in Context*” section, and may choose to
write a biographical essay on Sor Juana in addition. It is preferable that
the dramaturg be in the New York metro area, able to be present at the
first of two rehearsals, and able to make a 10-minute presentation based on
her intro, “The Play in Context,” to the audience before the reading on
December 4th.  There is a small honorarium for this project.
