The group GEMELA(Grupo de Estudios sobre la Mujer en España y las  
Américas-pre-1800) seeks papers for the 2012 SAMLA Convention. The  
focus of the conference is Text as Memoir: Tales of Travel,  
Immigration, and Exile and we would like to receive papers on the  
topic. However, papers on more general topics are also welcomed.  
Please send title of the paper and abstracts in electronic form by
