The Department of Hispanic Studies invites applications for three positions beginning summer 2011:



Assistant Professor of Spanish, specialty in Second Language Acquisition to serve as Coordinator of Basic Language Courses and teach undergraduates at all levels with possibilities for occasional graduate courses.  Ph.D., collegiate teaching experience, scholarly ambition required.



Assistant Professor of Spanish, specialty in Medieval/Golden Age literature and culture to teach undergraduates at all levels with possibilities for occasional graduate courses.  Ph.D., collegiate teaching experience, scholarly ambition required.



Instructor of Spanish, non-tenure track position, one year appointment renewable for up to five years, at which time Senior Instructor rank may be solicited.  Teaches undergraduate courses. M.A. in Spanish and collegiate teaching experience required.



For all three positions: full benefits and competitive salaries.  Strong command of Spanish and English required; at least two years of full time teaching experience preferred.  Additional duties may include, but are not restricted to, occasional directing of summer study programs in Spain and Hispanic America, advising students and clubs; and participating in department and college functions.
